Woman’s Life Saved by Apple Watch in Emergency Gas Exposure

Time and time again, there have been reports of Apple Watch users thanking the company for helping them save their lives — in a variety of situations, such as helping them escape from forest fires or when they collapsed from illness.

Now, a female student from Delaware, USA, named Nasatka, has shared the story of how her Apple Watch saved her after a horrific carbon monoxide exposure. According to CBS News, the exposure to carbon monoxide occurred at his apartment in Smyrna, Delaware.

“I was very exhausted,” Nasatka told CBS News. “My vision went blurry,” he added.

Fortunately, before Nasatka passed out from the fatal exposure, he was able to reach for his Apple Watch and hit 911, prompting him to call 911.

After some time, he heard the firemen who finally rescued him. However, it is likely that the woman would not have been able to call for help without her Apple Watch, given the deadly effects of carbon monoxide poisoning on the human body.

The fire department later confirmed that the woman’s apartment was full of gas, with a reading of 80 parts per million (PPM). The woman said that this reading was very high and that the leak was caused by a faulty heater, which is a major source of leaks during the winter season.
